An Xtraordinary Android
Sony's first smartphone since it parted ways from Ericsson, the Xperia S, is a feature-packed premium Android smartphone. SLOW: While the rest of the phone feels fine, the capacitive buttons on the bottom of the phone are tiny and not very responsive.
Pros:
- Nice 4.3in screen
- good 12.1-Âmegapixel camera with very fast startup time
- SmartTags are handy
Cons:
- Runs on an older OS
- capacitive buttons are not responsive
- poor battery performance
- doesn't play classic PlayStation games

Sony Xperia S Review
Stripped off of the Ericsson tag, Sony is rolling solo and is all set to launch their NXT series of Android smart phones. Heading the pack is the Sony Xperia S (codenamed " Nozomi "), a 4.3-inch beauty with a massive 1280 x 720 resolution.
Pros:
- 1280 x 720 LCD is perfect for movies Decent performance and battery life Brings Sony vibes (and media) to your phone NFC Tag
Cons:
- Chunky with weak build quality No Android version 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Camera output is only superficially good

REVIEW: Sony Xperia S
Sony's first own-branded smartphone, and the company's first flagship handset since the split from Ericsson, there's a lot riding on the Xperia S. With a stylish design and a top-notch specs list, does it do enough right to deserve a reception any better than the lukewarm response to the...

Sony Xperia S review
In the end, you're left with a phone of decent design, though sporting a few questionable decisions. It boasts excellent internals and performance, a great screen and good battery life; but it has a lackluster camera and unimpressive and generally unnecessary software tweaks.

I spent two full days researching phone reviews/prices etc as I wanted to upgrade my old Wildfire (which has served me well for almost two years and is still going strong). I was looking for a mid-range phone and had shortlisted the Experia u, Desire x, Windows 8s and the Galaxy Ace 2.

Good Quality Device
The Xperia S is a superb device infact it's the best handset I've used so far. The Xperia x10 was my first ever android phone and I loved it.. The XS takes it to a whole new level.

The boxed contents were pretty much normal and the same old Sony Ericsson branded accessories including a pair of in-ear headphones, a data cable and a charger with a USB port. The smartphone has stunning looks with a nice sharp appeal.
