With an aluminum, unibody casing, a 'WhiteMagic' display that claims to be one of the brightest on the market and NFC connectivity built-in, you could easily be forgiven for thinking the Sony Xperia P is the company's flagship Android smartphone.
Pros:
- Premium look and feel
- Excellent
- bright screen
- Good camera
- particularly outdoors
Cons:
- Outdated Android OS
- Not the best ergonomics
- No expandable memory

Sony Xperia P review – the midrange phone with high-end hardware
For one, it has a vivid and vibrant display made possible by Bravia Mobile. It also has an NFC chip and Sony's very own Exmor R CMOS sensor which make the camera extra sensitive to light in dark places. And let's not forget the dedicated camera button and transparent notification bar for its design.

At RM1,499, the Sony Xperia P comes across as a better bargain than its Sony Xperia S brother on review here. Incremental hardware upgrades aside, the Xperia P is actually a solid mid-range smartphone with a killer frame and screen to boot.

Ironclad
Sealed in an aluminum unibody but still oozing the new NXT series style, the Sony Xperia P joins an elite club of metal-clad phones. And then there's the WhiteMagic screen to make it unique in the mobile world. In short, the Xperia P is one of the most advanced midrange phones out there.

Sony Xperia P review: Pure love!
It is rare that I fall head over heels in love with a gadget. I fall in love with a gadget, yes. But not head over heels in love with one. The Sony Xperia P turned out to be one of those rare moments. It took a while for me to write the review as I put it through its paces, but it's worth the wait!
Pros:
- Instant photo shots
- Brilliant screen even under the sun
- Takes really nice videos even in challenging lighting
- Big internal storage
Cons:
- No external memory slot, Unibody design means you can't change the battery, Photos could do better, Still Gingerbread build
- Hurry up with the ICS, Sony

Sony Xperia P Review
The Xperia P sits squarely in the middle of the new Sony Mobile NXT range. The Xperia S has a 4.3″ screen (720×1280), this Xperia P has a 4″ and the Xperia U gets a 3.5″.

Sony Xperia P Review: Does Sony's White Magic Cast The Right Spell?
The Sony Xperia P has had me rubbing my eyes and scratching more than once over the last week that I've been living with it. Not because it's amazing, but because it's deeply vexing.
