Sony Xperia P review
Smaller sibling to the Apple iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S3 -challenging Sony Xperia S , big brother of the entry-level Sony Xperia U , the mid-range Sony Xperia P is no awkward middle child, but a boundary-pushing smartphone that is knocking on the door of a number of its more expensive rivals.

Sony Xperia P
Samsung Galaxy S Advance – While the camera of the Samsung Galaxy S Advance falls behind a little with just 5-megapixels, the phone does feature an AMOLED display, and a 1GHz dual-core processor, putting it on a par with the Xperia P in terms of performance.

- HDMI
- Feels like a premium device
- More intuitive to use than the Xperia S
Cons:

Sony Xperia P review
The Xperia P is a decent mid-priced smartphone, but its solid design and amazing camera is hampered by the device's outdated operating system.

Sony Xperia P review
The Xperia P is the mid-range entry in Sony's Xperia NXT series of smartphones announced at MWC earlier this year. It sits below the Xperia S and above the entry-level Xperia U. Pros:
- Rock-solid build
- WhiteMagic display is a revelation
- High-quality camera
Cons:
- Outdated Android 2.3 OS

- dual-core chip
- impressive 8-megapixel snapper and dedicated shutter key
Cons:
- Disappointing battery life
- lip gets in the way
- awaiting Ice Cream Sandwich update

At RM1,499, the Sony Xperia P comes across as a better bargain than its Sony Xperia S brother on review here. Incremental hardware upgrades aside, the Xperia P is actually a solid mid-range smartphone with a killer frame and screen to boot.
