Sony Xperia P review
Following the not-much-lamented loss of the Ericsson name, we've had the Xperia S and soon we'll have the Xperia U. But for the moment, we have middle handset the Xperia P , a mid-range Android with a similar look to the rest of the range, but a distinctly mid-level spec.
Pros:
- Good screen
- fast processor
- 8-megapixel camera
Cons:
- No expandable memory

Xperia P is the latest launch of Sony and is the latest buzz in the market. Designed in a bar shaped body with a big 4 inch LED backlit touchcreen the phone looks quite elegant. Apart from this the capacitive touchscreen is very responsive as well as senses fast the touch of your fingers.

Sony Xperia P smartphone
My previous phone was a HTC thunderbolt. I'll be dropping in a negative review about it here at ReviewStream soon but before that let us talk about the Xperia P. When I first came across the Xperia P it looked complete both in style and features.

When Sony said they were going to focus heavily on their smartphone game post the break-up with Ericsson, they weren't kidding around. Sony Xperia P
The Sony Xperia P rolls out in the middle of Sony's line of NXT handsets following the separation from Ericsson. It is mid-range both in terms of specs and size, but falls into an extremely competitive market.
Pros:
- Unibody feels solid
- plenty of power under the hood
- good camera performance
Cons:
- Poor battery performance
- display doesn't look natural
- some UI quirks make this phone feel a little dated

Sony Xperia P review
The Xperia P is a more user-friendly sized, better designed and more attractively priced version of the Xperia S. Although the specifications aren't astounding and the software is yet to be brought into 2012, we like the device.

Excellent Device
- Be aware that upgrading your Xperia P to ICS will take at least half an hour. During the process, the phone will be in Recovery Mode. I strongly suggest you do not touch the device or attempt to reboot out of impatience. While I am not guilty of this, I can only imagine what could go wrong.
Pros:
- - The WhiteMagic display really does have a positive impact on outdoor usability/legibility, and the screen is spectacularly bright indoors
- 40% brightness (auto-brightness off) gets me what most other phones offer at 100% - The pixel density on this phone is awesome.
Cons:
- - On the subject of charging, you'll have to do it an awful lot if you use wifi regularly
- The battery is only 1305mAh

Pros:
- Excellent design
- Sturdy build
- Great sound quality
- Feature-packed camera
Cons:
- Poor display contrast
