Sony Xperia P mid-range Android
handset to arrive in the UK. The company's flagship S model prompted a slightly lukewarm response when launched but the Xperia S sets its sights lower as a mid-range handset on a par with the Samsung Galaxy S Advance and HTC One V.

The longest I have ever kept a phone.
I still remember when i bought this phone out of choices of, Nokia E7, Samsung SII Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and Apple iPhone 4s who got my attention. I had been using a Nokia C6, E75, Nokia 5800, 5310 etc earlier. This phone was cheaper than the other options I had.
Pros:
- Great build quality
- The most appealing design on a phone of its time
- Reliability and durability
- Good sharp screen
- Phone kept getting better through updates from Sony till 4.1
- Served two and a half years easily
- Rich multimedia features for a mid-range phone
- Camera (for a mid-range device of...
Cons:
- Battery should have been at least 1.5x more
- Loudspeaker isn't very clear
- Should have had front cam resolution
- Phone application stutters when you have low free space
- No MicroSD slot

- Bright
- colourful screen
- unique design
- dual-core power
- sharp eight-megapixel camera with physical shutter button
Cons:

Sony Xperia P Review
The Sony Xperia P is a smaller version of the Xperia S – it still manages to cram in many of its older sibling's features, but the battery life is disappointing.
Pros:
- Bright, colourful display
- unusual design
- dual-core chip
- impressive 8-megapixel snapper and dedicated shutter key
Cons:
- Disappointing battery life
- lip gets in the way
- awaiting Ice Cream Sandwich update

It looks ilke an Xperia S, behaves like an Xperia S but this here phone isn't an Xperia S, oh no. This is the mid-range Sony Xperia P. As part of the NXT line, the Sony Xperia P shares the same iconic design, bold corners and customised UI as its bigger brother, however with its 4-inch display and...
Pros:
- Wonderful screen
- Bold design
- Good camera

Sony Xperia P
Samsung Galaxy S Advance – While the camera of the Samsung Galaxy S Advance falls behind a little with just 5-megapixels, the phone does feature an AMOLED display, and a 1GHz dual-core processor, putting it on a par with the Xperia P in terms of performance.

Sony Xperia P review
If the Xperia S just isn't within your budget, you will find the Xperia P nearly as capable - providing you can put up with Android Gingerbread
Pros:
- Excellent display
- HDMI
- Feels like a premium device
- More intuitive to use than the Xperia S
Cons:
- Display could be a tad brighter
- Android 2.3 is starting to feel a little dated

Sony Xperia P review
Smaller sibling to the Apple iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S3 -challenging Sony Xperia S , big brother of the entry-level Sony Xperia U , the mid-range Sony Xperia P is no awkward middle child, but a boundary-pushing smartphone that is knocking on the door of a number of its more expensive rivals.

This is one really good phone, i bought it to replace my galaxy s which i got 2year ago, and it was exactly the same price as what i paid for the galaxy s, the screen is stunning even in the brightest of days, quick camera from sleep to snap, this is well worth the money.
Pros:
- great screen in sun light
Cons:
- not ics yet

Sony Xperia P review
Well-made, intelligent and desirable, but its bigger and faster brother is only £35 more. A tough call for those who like to have the best.
