Sony Xperia ion (AT&T) review
Sony Ericsson is no more. The once powerful and arguably innovative phone manufacturer was cannibalized by Sony this year when it paid nearly $1.5 billion for Ericsson's stake in the company.
Pros:

Sony has finally struck out on its own. The Sony Ericsson partnership is over - Sony bought out Ericsson's slice of the phone-making venture earlier this year - and the first Sony-branded phone is the Xperia Ion , a new Android handset exclusive to AT&T's 4G LTE network.

Sony Xperia Ion (AT&T) review: Elegant smartphone stumbles
Even the Xperia's 12-megapixel camera can't hold a candle to the imaging systems on those high-powered gadgets. A better choice is the Nokia Lumia 900, which for the same price has a more attractive design and better camera.
Pros:
- The affordable Sony Xperia Ion has solid call quality and swift 4G LTE that ties into Sony's vast entertainment empire
Cons:
- Lackluster images and video belie the Xperia's claimed 12MP camera
- It's also held back by an old processor and an outdated OS

Review from CES 2012: In addition to the Xperia S smartphone, we also saw Sony announce the Xperia ion. And similar to our hands on gallery with the Sony Xperia S, we also spent a few minutes with the ion. Though while nice, we have to say that it was not quite as fancy looking as the Xperia S.
