Sony Xperia ion review (video)
The Xperia ion, despite being a decent Android phone, does not live up to its potential. Either due to aging hardware or aged software, the combination puts it miles behind the reigning Galaxy S III and One X in terms of performance, battery life and overall usability.

Sony Xperia ion for AT&T review: US Xperiance
Sony was the talk of town during CES 2012 back in January and the Xperia ion for AT&T was among the main reasons why. Launched alongside the Xperia S, the Sony Xperia ion took the great honor of being the company's first LTE smartphone.

Sony Xperia Ion
The Sony Xperia Ion is a sweet phone for a great price that's just not getting enough love. For $99 you get an award winning design with a sleek glass front and curved metal back, LTE 4G and a 12MP camera. And you thought the once $99 Nokia Lumia was a good deal? The Ion tops it for hardware specs.
Pros:
- Gorgeous display
- elegant looks with quality materials
Cons:
- Last generation CPU and ships with Android 2.3

Playing it smart: the Sony Xperia Ion review
After Sony bought out the mobile portion of its longtime Sony-Ericsson partnership, the company decided to join the smartphone war in earnest. If we don't count the niche Xperia Play , Sony is dreadfully late to the party, especially for a company that seeks to make as many of the screens a human...
Pros:
- Screen has excellent level of detail
- Body looks pretty nice
- when the brushed metal back isn't covered in fingerprints
- Overall performance
- soft key interactions aside
- is very fluid
- Camera takes great photos in good lighting situations
Cons:
- The soft keys
- Why are they so difficult? Just accept my loving taps, Indoor photos, a bit meh for a 12-megapixel camera, Speaker should be ashamed of itself

Maaaaybe it'll help when it upgrades to Android 4.0 (if Sony doesn't butcher it with its rather unappealing skin), but the fact that it's this far behind...
