Hands-on Review: Sony Xperia Ion
There's a million smartphones out there, but Sony is trying to make its new Xperia Ion stand out from the crowd. It's got slick styling, excellent specs and a number of novel surprises.

It is difficult to fault the Xperia Ion in terms of its build quality or looks and there are no glaring omissions in the phone. What is missing is an extra layer of polish in the software which would have helped evade the fairly common lockups and forced closes.

SmartDock is a Smart Choice
The SmartDock easily convinced me to opt for the Sony Xperia Ion. I have been following development of the phone and this product when it was first announced earlier this year. It most definitely delivers.

Sony Xperia Ion is one of the best smartphones in terms of build and design. The phone performs moderately well in terms of processing capabilities. The camera and battery life are the 2 advantages of this phone over other android smartphones.

S ony wasn't kidding around when they said they would only make smartphones and abandon feature phones completely. But we feel they've reached a point where it's a little ridiculous now and they seem to be getting really sloppy with their launches.

Sony Xperia Ion Hands On
Looking for a decent specc'd Android phone that won't break the bank?
Pros:
- Gorgeous 4.6 inches 720p screen with Bravia Mobile engine for exquisite detail and color
- Fast 12 megapixels camera
- Excellent build
- Specs offer value for money
Cons:
- Lower Android buttons awkwardly lit

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS PHONE!!!!
I absolutely LOVE this phone. The more I played with it, the more I liked it. I waited nearly two years to move from a flip phone to a smartphone because there was no other that I liked. I did not want to be an iPhone person and I am not fond of humongous phones such as Samsung or the HTC's.

Sony is a name that needs no introduction. The Xperia series is the company's attempt at providing the users with high end phones that are equipped with the best of possible features.

Sony Xperia Ion is a decent smartphone, but having said that we must not forget that there are other phones available in the same segment at a lesser price. It's hard for us to recommend this smartphone in spite of its good performance and better battery life than its predecessors. At a price of Rs.
