The Sony WH-CH710N are excellent headphones for the price. They're comfortable to wear, offer an extensive battery life and effective ANC – but the plastic build quality and slightly disappointing execution of Ambient Sound control knock a few points off the score

If what you need in a pair of headphones, primarily, is that you get long battery life and decent sound on a low budget, the Sony certainly delivers that. The noise cancelling might not have as much impact as we'd like, but it's not useless, and the sound is enjoyable.

As much as we wanted the Sony WH-CH710N Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones to be a more affordable alternative to Sony's flagship WH-1000XM3 headphones, they simply don't fit the bill.

Sony's WH-CH710N headphones offer solid audio performance and active noise cancellation for a relatively affordable price.

For under $200 these are a great option for anyone that wants good active noise cancelling but doesn't want to break the bank doing so. While these have plenty of flaws, they're still a solid pair of headphones overall that I would recommend to anyone with a hard budget.

Unimpressive noise cancellation

Sony makes some of the best noise-canceling headphones around, especially the WH-1000XM3 (which is overdue for a replacement). The WH1000XM3 is a premium set of headphones that regularly goes for around $300 , and competing products like the Bose QuietComfort 35 II and Jabra Elite 85h aren't far...

Noise-canceling Active noise cancellation is the main selling point here, and it works well; USB Type-C While Sony has been a long-time supporter of USB Type-C on audio products, it's nice to see when many other comparable headphones are still using microUSB.

Sound quality The audio quality is fine, but it doesn't quite match what you get from more expensive headphones; Controls The small size and similar texture of the playback controls take some getting used to.

Sony WH-CH710 uses something called the Artificial Intelligent Noise Cancellation (AINC) while Sennheiser uses the audibly superior active noise cancellation (ANC). But for the price difference, it is a tough choice. I’m glad it isn’t my headache to pick one off the shelves!
