The Sony Pulse 3D headset is a brilliant peripheral I can easily recommend to any owner of the PS5. It sounds, looks and feels great, while boasting features such as 3D audio and internal dual microphones which make it feel wonderfully innovative for the price.

The Sony Pulse 3D Wireless Headset is a straightforward gaming headset for the company's next generation console. It works well on PlayStation 5—not necessarily better than any other compatible headset—and not very well on other platforms. At least it matches the console's color scheme.

Sony's Pulse 3D Wireless Headset has a couple of caveats, including flat mic performance and the lack of Bluetooth connectivity, but the 3D Audio performance is exemplary. It is so cleverly designed to match the PS5 in looks and talents that it doesn't really play well with other devices, but that's the point really. This is unapologetically a PlayStation headset for the latest PlayStation console, and in that is one of the best value propositions around.
