Very balanced and flat eq sounding headphones.

Well mastered 320 kbps Mp3 and 24-bit Flac files sound amazing. Blu-ray movies sound better than the speaker setup at public movie theaters minus the sound impact to the whole body.

Flat eq sound that's hard to find in today's headphones; Very reliable and still sounds superb; Easy to drive and gives high volume without amplification; Sounds phenomenal with Blu-ray + Dolby audio post processing

Still requires a decent headphone amplifier to hear that awesome tight bass at lowest frequencies; Some poorly mastered CDs and MP3 at 128 kbps sounds ugly with the instruments mashing up during chorus which is clearly caused by compression

Sony MDR-7506 Review

The Sony MDR-7506 is an extremely sensitive, closed, isolating headphone that's great for travel and monitoring professional field recordings - especially DSLR video.

Sony MDR 7506 Headphones

I purchased these Sony headphones semi-new for only $50 at the time from a friend of mine. They can be found currently around $99 or less.

Best Value for Headphones

I ordered these Sony Headphones , MDR-7506, on the 3rd of May and received them on the 6th of May. Good , safe packaging and super fast delivery. I got them at less than $100 and it is practically stealing. I use them primarily to listen at night to the tv shows and movies through my ROKU remote.

I am a multimedia specialist our shop does a large variety of projects which require the use of headphones from connecting them to our video cameras, sound both or to our computers. We have great results using these headphones and have order them for years.

One of the Best!!

After using these Sony Headphones for 3 months, I absolutely love it.

Good bass; Play all genres.

The wires sometimes gets in the way; It should be made in smaller size

I really like these... but I like good clear high frequencies. Lots of detail in the music. The pads rot off over time (faux leather) but you can replace them with pads meant for an alternate brand (mine are now velvet). I would not be without them. They have stood the test of time.

high freq; clarity

pads rot away (over time

Not Durable

I have owned this headset for 2 years and found it to be adequate but not durable. The sound is fine for communication, but they feel cheap and the ear cushions are peeling off.

ive had mine for 2 years

one of the reasons why i bought a pair was that i can afford. i had very limited choices back then. it had good reviews so i decided on them. no regrets because they were very useful. although they are far from the very advanced ones in the market, you can still use it for listening to good music.
