Awesome

After buying a Samsung QLED last year (2017) I decided I'd had enough of the poor image quality and barrage of faults and decided to go with this new flagship OLED from Sony and must say I am extremely impressed with the image quality and motion handling.

A considered purchase but far exceeded expectations

This Sony TV is certainly not the cheapest, however, is well worth the investment. My wife and I, both in our fifties, carried out the installation and set up which, if you follow the instructions to the letter, is actually much easier than some had suggested - it took about half an hour from out of...

Sony KD-55AF9 4K HDR OLED TV review

The KD-55AF9 does at least look worthy of that premium price. It's stylish, and then some. Viewed front on, the TV epitomises minimalism. There's barely a trim around the panel, and Sony's Bravia branding is almost an artful afterthought.

Sony KD-55AF9 (AF9/A9F) OLED TV

This is Sony's latest OLED TV and falls under their new branding and in other territories, it is also called the A9F.

Superb accuracy out of the box; Excellent out of the box greyscale; Excellent out of the box colour; SDR image quality is stunning; HDR image quality...

Expensive compared to direct competition at launch; HDR10 can appear dim compared to competition; Dolby Vision on Netflix still has issues with...

Sony BRAVIA MASTER Series KD55AF9BU 55" Smart 4K HDR OLED TV

Fantastic quality picture; Can see why 4K UHD/HDR is exceptional now - especially with this Sony Bravia AF9 OLED; Was blown away with the increased detail, the sharper colours and with the blacks looking very solid; It even up-scales HD format pictures; A genuine pleasure..

2 major points to take into account: 1; You may need to upgrade other peripherals to take full advantage of true 4K; 2; The screen on this set (and several other types of OLED/QLED) is very fragile.

Great Picture

Great picture and good sound. The only problem I have had so far is Youview, all it it does is slow the set down and only provides half the service that a Youview box provides. Sony should either have the full licence for this service or not bother, it's annoying and I have disabled it, which makes...

Excellent TV, shame it doesn't record FtA

Excellent TV. Just a shame that the Android series doesn't allow recording to USB of Free to Air TV.
