I bought this a month ago, i love the sound and quality of the product. The only issue I have is the loud fan noise, which spoils the experience of listening to music at low volume. The fan noise is loud and annoying.

Reading all the reviews & specifications I decided to buy this speaker. I wanted to choose between JBL & Sony. I went to Croma store to listen & compare both speakers. As per my assumption & specification I was supposed to be impress by Sony as it is 600 RMS output as compare to JBL SB150 or SB250...
Gets rid of all the clutter of a full surround system but still delivers very similar results
Rear speakers being wired....wireless or bluetooth would make the unit more user friendly and eliminate the messy look of wires running along the skirting board
Bluetooth not connecting with my phone properly, keep on breaking up. Subwoofer sound not that great.
Sony's set-up time, tell them their dreaming, it took me two days, mainly because I tried to set up with the HDMI cable supplied, yes I do have HDMI (ARC) on my TV, tried all the settings with no success, finally gave up and purchased a $4 optical cable, which worked with no set-up problems.
Good sound
Rear speakers to low
Sony in 2016 added a new home theater system to their line-up in India - The Sony HT-RT3 Soundbar home theater system. It is an affordable option at Rs 18,990 if you are looking for a 5.1 channel surround sound system for your home to watch movies on.
It isn't very good value for the price paid. Sound is not brilliant and I would have been much better putting in a few extra dollars for a better unit. Setup was easy but really very poor value for money.
bought on sale for 1490 but the sub has a fan and sounds great.
