great camcorder
Love this camcorder. It is so small and lightweight. Very easy to use. Reasonably priced also. I have nothing bad to say. Very happy with the product.

Sony DCR-SR68E
When it comes to product designs, there are few that can go head to head with Sony. For instance the previously reviewed HDR-CX150 said a lot about the company's ability to build small and compact camcorder.

Sony Handycam DCR-SR68
Sony's Handycam DCR-SR68 (and larger-capacity SR88) offers up ample storage and a megazoom lens at a reasonable price; one look at the standard-definition video, though, and you might regret not spending a bit more for an HD model.
Pros:
- Simple operation
- 60x zoom lens
- 80GB hard drive
- small
Cons:
- Soft, noisy video
- noticeable fringing on subjects
- image stabilization is electronic only
- no mic or headphone jacks

Sony camcorder
I just received this camcorder for Christmas and have been pleased with it so far. It is very easy to figure out the settings and how to use this camera. It has a built in camera to take still pictures (these are not super quality, but comparable to pictures taken on a cell phone).

Sony's DCR-SR68 is a solid standard-definition DV hard drive camcorder that can store up to 61 hours of video. It features a Carl Zeiss lens with SteadyShot, a quality LCD screen and a 60x optical zoom.
Pros:
- A nice 60x optical zoom
- a great LCD and face detection technology are among the highlights
Cons:
- The 80GB hard drive is somewhat small
- and it can't record in high definition

60 x zoom
This camera has great built in speakers for playback. I really love the zoom that brings the subject into reaching distance.

I bought this with 3 basic needs, 1.I wanted something compact, 2. I wanted the capability to take pictures. 3. I wanted it to have a night vision light. You would think these 3 things would be easy to find in many cameras at a decent price range, but they were not! So how did this fair up?
