Sony Alpha 77 Review

The A77 is definitely a good buy if you're looking for something sturdy, with a good overall balance of features and performance. While the A77 is a slight disappointment in the noise handling department, it definitely makes up for it with the fast AF (especially if coupled up with one of Sony...

Sony Alpha SLT-A77

Sony's SLT-A77 has to be one of the most hotly-anticipated cameras of recent years. Since the Alpha A700 was pulled from production there's been something of a gap in the Alpha lineup – a gap that the A77 looks to fill.
Pros:
  • Super-fast burst mode
  • great movie mode
  • OLED viewfinder the best electronic viewfinder to date
  • weather-sealed body
  • competitive price
Cons:
  • Electronic viewfinder still suffers some lag
  • poor battery life
  • 24.3MP sensor doesn't cut it at higher ISO settings

Great image tool

I use this camera for a wide range of images and most of the time I am very pleased indeed with the performance. I don't use the 12fps very often, as this means shooting with the lens at maximum aperture, I prefer using the 8fps with full control over the aperture.I find the articulated screen...
