Sony Alpha 77

Four years after releasing the Alpha 700, Sony has made a welcome return to the expert SLR market ... except that the Alpha 77 isn't really an SLR-it's an SLT (Single Lens Translucent) camera like the Alpha...
Pros:
  • Very high performances (12 fps burst
  • subject tracking
  • autofocus etc.
  • Splash-proof body
  • advanced and customisable controls
  • Video Full HD at up to 50 fps with manual mode
  • stereo sound and mic socket
  • Vertical tilt and swivel screen
  • Electronic viewfinder: integrated zoom
  • accurate preview,...
Cons:
  • No major progress in image quality
  • even a slight regression in sensitivity
  • Interface can sometimes be confusing
  • Buffer memory can be a bit tight (at full speed the bust mode is limited to under 2 seconds
  • Battery life isn't as good as SLRs with optical viewfinders (approx.

I've now had the a77 for a few months and I'm very pleased with it. On the plus side is the 24mp sensor that with the right lenses can give some great detail for an aps-c sensor. Some of the other positives are the 12fps, gorgeous HD video and weather sealing.

A great camera

My first photos on this camera were portraits taken with a flash indoors at home in the evening, as the weather had been wet and cloudy all day. I was stunned by the detail in the facial features like hair, eyelashes and cracks on the lips etc.

Couldn't Be Happier

I've used this camera to shoot everything from low light performances from ballet to rock bands to landscape and wild life. Color capture is amazing. 24mp sensor yields crisp detailed images. And, the lens line up, including the Minolta 'Legacy" lenses are sharp and crisp.
Pros:
  • Color
  • Speed
  • Lens Selectio
  • Ergonomics
Cons:
  • lack of focus point highlight
  • high iso noise

Ok so I havea A65 it is Awsome. Best Bang for your buck but when Walmart recently lowered this A77 $100.00 with the 18-135mm lens, well I couldn't pass it up the Lens Alone is worth $500.00 and that would make the camers which normally sells body only for $1400.00 only $999.99.
