Pros:
- Build quality
- Low-light performance
- Articulated screen
- Touch controls
- Wi-Fi
- Choice of lenses
Cons:
- Wind noise on movies
- Some fall off in corners
- Price

Sony's first foray into web-connected, app-compatible cameras, the NEX 5R takes a different approach to other Internet-savvy snappers like the Samsung Galaxy Camera and Nikon Coolpix S800c, both of which use Android.

Sony NEX-5R mirror-less super cam
The apps might not set your pulse racing, but this well-connected cam is a top gun in its own right.
