Sonos Playbase

I was looking for a CD changer to play old CD's. An Abt audio consultant suggested a Sonos Playbase. We bought a new Sony LED TV at the same time, replacing a 14-year-old Sharp. I really enjoy being able to manage my music from my laptop or smartphone.

Amazing sound.

Sonos has made a greater difference as I listen the tv now .It makes hearing the dialogues more distinctly even at a very lower volume. love this product as it does not overshadow the lyrics with loud sound . Moreover, when you are watching tv at night and enjoy the perfect pitch it does not disturb other family members in other rooms.

Sonos PLAYBASE: Australian Review

Sonos's latest speaker is built not to go around your TV, nor in front of it. It's built to go underneath, and to blend in with your existing furniture more than any Sonos speaker before it.

Sonos Playbase review: Oddly enough, it sounds better playing music than movie soundtracks

The Sonos Playbase all-in-one speaker system is designed to be paired with a TV, so it's ironic that it sounds better with music than it does with movies and television shows. Maybe that's because low-end frequencies are more prevalent in music than they are in soundtracks-even in action films.

Sonos Playbase review: The speaker to rule the living room

I feel like I should wrap this up by saying that I wish I had never received the Playbase for review. The thought of going back to my TV's built-in speakers makes me want to cry inside, as does the fact that I am going to want to buy some sort of external speaker setup to fill the sonic void in my...

Form factor Even though it's wide enough to sit underneath a TV, the Playbase is still sleek and stylish; Most TVs fit on it, though those with the "claw feet" may have some trouble, Sound A truly beautiful thing, the sound quality is absolutely superb; The bass is especially spectacular.

Setup This process was more painful than I would have liked; The WiFi setup continually failed when I initially received my review unit and I was forced to use an ethernet connection.

Sonos Playbase Review

The design of the Playbase is quite wide, so you'll need to plan ahead for how it will fit into your home theater layout. Aside from that, we love how the Sonos Playbase offers beautifully implemented design simplicity - after all, it is just one unit with one power cable and one optical cable to...

Incredible sound with strong bass; sounds great for both music and dialogue; just one piece of hardware required; easy setup requires just one power cord and one optical cord; integrates seamlessly with other Sonos devices

Relatively large footprint doesn't fit under some TV stands – requiring you to mount a TV to the wall or to get the

Sonos Playbase Review

Now I been using the Playbase for months on end and have zero complaints. Now will this change down the line The fact there is no HDMI or DTS support could be a deal breaker for some. This coupled with its high price tag of $699 .
