With a distinctly retro look, the Slik Pro 500DX Complete bypasses the 'black is the new black' fashion of most current tripods and proudly displays a set of shiny metal legs, even if the top ones are covered with black comfort padding.

Delivers a sturdy shooting platform at all heights; Very simple to use; The three-way head is good for making small; precise shooting adjustments

Limited features at the price; Relatively poor maximum load rating of 4.5kg; considering the tripod's weight; Maximum operating height of 167cm is lower than that of many competitors

Slik Pro500 DX

Slik have been an integral part of the tripod industry since 1952 when the Slik Elevator Tripod Co. was founded in Japan. Since then, their tripods have been copied to within an inch of their lives.

Clever compacting design on handles; Inverting centre column; Excellent build materials

No spirit level; No quick release plate lock; Shoddy quick release lever materials

A great affordable Tri-pod

You know you need a trip-pod, this one fits the bill. Sturdy and stable, easy to use. Very happy and would recommend to anyone.

Wonderful Tripod

This is a wonderful tripod. Simply attach this with camera and record anything. A must for all cameras. Thanks to Naaptol for a wonderful gift.

I have no complaints with the tripod itself, but in retrospect I should have just purchased the legs, and gotten a good ball head to go along with it. While the included 3-way pan/tilt head gets the job done, I find it a little cumbersome to use. It does pan very smoothly, though.
