Great little tripod. I keep it in the trunk for backup and when I need to pack-it in. I've used it with a Nikon D90 and Nikkor 70-300 with good stability.

I have only briefly used it in the field, but am well satisfied. It is light weight, but well made and functions smoothly. Good for travel. I have added my own ball head and like that it came with a reversible 1/4 & 3/8 stud.
Slik Pro 340dx is a relatively (!) cheap, lightweight, small, and sturdy tripod that I ever had. This tripod is the best for travel unless you have huge-diameter zoom lenses. It is lightweight and small.
Lightweight and Small; but sturdy
a hook for more weight on the center column would give more stable standing
Despite all advances in both film and digital photography, light is still one of the most important
compact; relatively light weight; sturdy; neoprene padding; pan head included
too short for tall users, somewhat flimsy at max; height, no case, one-piece center column
Nice n light and very well made.
Compact; Easily Adjusted; Good Footing; Great All Rounder; Lightweight; Locks In Tight; Smooth Movement
The first tripod I ever bought was a Slik Gazelle, which I picked up while stationed in Japan in 1983. I used it regularly until last month, when a plastic part in the mounting head snapped. 30 years of service...not too shabby.
Stable
-No significant cons
Great product for travel and portrait/landscapes at night. Light and folds down nice for travel. Only downside is that there is no level but, for the price, can't be beat!
Folds Small; Good Stability; Lightweight; Unfolds Quickly
No level
