We reviewed Skylanders: Swap Force on the Xbox 360 platform before the next generation consoles were even released. Now we circle back around to look at the game on the PlayStation 4. Fundamentally, the game is identical on the PS4 to that found on the 360 or PS3.

It might not come as a surprise that a new Skylanders game has appeared a few short months after Disney dipped their oar in the collectible-video-game-character-model-thingie waters with to Vicarious Visions rather than Toys For Bob (who had developed the first two games).

You have to buy the characters for this game to play. I didn't realize when i bought it for our 5 year old. Slippy slope to debt.

Personally I hate these types of games. not only do you have to pay for the disk and platform. I'm constantly pestered to buy ne figures!... But its hours of fun for the kids.
