When people come to me asking for build advice I tell them two things. Spend money on your motherboard and don't skimp on the case. Other items like processors and video cards can always be upgraded later however swapping a motherboard or chassis is rather involved so it is always best to plan...

SilverStone Primera Series PM01 ATX Enclosure Review

The finished product is clean and open, and the build process was very simple. There is a lot of empty space to the right of the system components, and open layout enclosures of this type certainly have the capability of supporting any number of liquid-cooling options.

SilverStone Primera PM01 Review

They say first impressions count, and if that's the case then the the new Primera From SilverStone is off to a racing start. Finished in high gloss black or white and with styling cues taken from luxury sports car design the Primera certainly seems to have a bit of va-va voom about it.

SilverStone Primera PM01 Computer Case

Overall, the entire installation for the SilverStone Primera PM01 went well. Not all the motherboard stand offs were installed for an ATX motherboard, so I had to install the rest. At first, I thought this would be simple, but there was no adapter included to install standoffs.

This smoldering ATX case has a well-planned interior design and plenty of aesthetic attitude. It's a solid choice for sophisticated gamers.

Reasonable price; Eye-catching front panel; Clever use of interior space; Built-in fan hub; Plenty of cable-management features; Multiple installation points for radiators big or small

USB header blocked by power-supply bay; No slot for an optical drive; Obvious rectangular grid over front filter; SSDs are tucked out of sight

SilverStone Primera PM01 Chassis Review

KitGuru says: SilverStone PM01 is impressive but would be improved with extra space above the motherboard.

Impressive airflow for good cooling; Three illuminated fans at the front plus LEDs in the side that illuminate the window; Supports an enormous graphics card up to 16.5-inch/419mm; Support for a 360mm radiator in the top or at the front; Windowed side panel looks good

Space above the motherboard is tight to install a radiator; Front cover is secured by four screws so access to the main air filter is awkward; There is no optical drive bay; Two Molex power connectors required for the fan hub and lights; LED light control only has four modes; Tight for space behind...

SilverStone Primera Series PM01

As one of the big player in the PC DIY scene, SilverStone's uniquely designed chassis has been endorsed by many hardcore PC enthusiasts who looks into PC chassis that offer not only for the looks but also its functionality and build quality.

Great features and build quality; Able to provide a decent amount of airflow; Excellent cable management design (velcro straps; PSU cover; Comes ready with built-in LEDs and fan hub; Dust filters are removable and very easy to clean; Water cooling friendly design

Hairbreadth distance between the chassis feet to the floor makes it prone to scratches; A lot of unscrewing work required during installation i.e removing front panel; removing top panel; installing PCIe expansion cards; etc; Clearance issue with memory stick if you're using a radiator with more...

SilverStone Primera PM01 Review

There aren't many elements to the PM01's design that we haven't seen before – the PSU cover, ODD-free design, Velcro cable ties and fan hub, for example, are all things that have been introduced or at least popularised by other manufacturers in recent years.
