This lens is so responsive
I needed a one lens that does it all. A very fast quiet lens. I am very pleased with my purchase. I just take this lens for my yearly travel holidays. I am very please with my macro photos and my scenery photos. I cannot find any faults

SIGMA 18-250MM DC MACRO OS CANON
The title is a little misleading. It is the latest version of the lens, not the one with the 72mm filter. If this is what you want, it is nicely packaged, it includes three filters with magnification for close-up photo the bag and the protection petal. Hope this helped.

A nice alternative to a Nikon lens
Great image result for an APS-C style of camera. Used extensively on a major holiday in Europe the lens proved itself. The only downside is 'lens creep' as set in and the 'lock' must be placed on at all times if the camera is facing towards the ground when being carried.
Pros:
- Easy to use
Cons:
- Build quality

Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM
Very quality lens, half the price of the similar nikon model. Very good sharpness at F8-F11, at almost all focal lengths. Small and light, OS is working well. Compatibility problems with the new nikon bodies.
Pros:
- Sharp!
- Good close up
- OS working well
- light and small
- price
Cons:
- Compatibility problems
- creep when unlocked

I really, really, really wanted to love this lens. I did a lot of research on my options in this pirce range and the fact it is built is Japan was a major selling point.THE GOOD: Well built with a sharp and clear visual through my DSLR. Operated smoothly and had a feel and look of quality.
Pros:
- Durable
- Easily Interchangeable

Cons:
- Color Not Quite Accurate
- Color Was Not As Good As
- Inconsistent Focus Issues

A Great All Round Lens.
I brought this lens to use as an all in one on holiday because I did not want to be laden with all different lenses, the only other one I took was a wide angle for special land scape and night images or though the 18-250 would have worked too but just needed to take that one other special lens.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Quick Focus
- Sharp Focus
- Strong Construction

Sigma introduced this lens in 2009, as an upgrade to its 18-200mm lens. The lens comes in Sigma, Canon, Nikon, and Pentax mounts, and it includes optical stabilization (as denoted by the "OS" in the lens' title).

Good All Rounder
Since this is an all rounder lens, don't expect the sharpness of a prime lens. It works good, but care has to be taken to click without chromatic aberration. Not as sharp as Nikkor but that is not gonna be a real issue.

Good all-rounder lens.
Had some pleasing results on an old EOS 350 and new 1300. Very useful zoom range and saves on lens swaps for most general situations. Build quality seems OK. The lock function is required as will creep when carried without it on - no real problem and expect really with it's impressive range.
