Don 't be afraid to buy this lens !!! I have several Nikon lenses and Tamrons and was skid dish about Sigma. I have had this on my Nikon for several months now and won't take it off. This is a #1 walk around lens. It's ready for anything. There is some weight to it but not too bad.
