For just over $200 this is a must have lens in any photographer's kit. The optics are excellent for such a cheap lens and the macro function is a nice bonus.

Good product, bad shipping organisation.
The sigma lense is exactly how I expected it, which is great. The zoom is very good, and it comes with a lens hood which I wasn't expecting, so an added bonus. The product I got was clean, well packaged and devoid of any nicks or scratches.

For a d3100 best value amazing quality
Bought this for my nikon d3100 and what a hell of a difference this made to my sport photography. You can check that out at dc presidebts media page on Facebook the recent ones are with this and the quality and ease of this lens blows the standard one out the water

Don't assume this will fit your camera mount.
I would love to give this a good rating but I cannot because I have no idea what mount this is. Says item is for Sony/Minolta but it certainly wont fit on my e-mount. If I could fix this problem I would up my rating. Seller SHOULD HAVE BEEN clear on

Great product at a gud price.
Just too gud.. Auto zoom of 300 mm range of nikkon comes at almost 3 times the price of tbis one. Read a lot of reviews.. Let me tell u.. Weight is not that heavy too.. I m managing to take sharp images.. Many people are complaining about its noise.. Dont know if dey want to spy in LOC..

Compact lens.
Bought for our holidays next year. However my daughter borrowed it to photograph local boys football match. Her verdict was, once she got used to it, she thoroughly enjoyed using it. Great set of action photographs.

Good Value
For an ameture on a budget it is excellent value compared to canon lenses. The only issue is that it has no stabilizer so tripod may be required for some shots.

I would recommend this to others
For the price, you really can't go wrong. I was hesitant to buy a generic brand lens, but it works great. I'm an ammeture photographer looking to enhance my business and I think this is a great start for someone who doesn't want to spend $500 early in their career/hobby as a photographer.
