Five Stars

Great lens. Not as fast as Nikon's but the price compensates for that.

This is my main glass for sports, since it was my first purchase for shooting HS Sports. I have used it with the Rebel and 40D. This lens is simply great for the price and is great for almost all sports. For the beginner, intermediate or casual shooter, you can not get a better lens for the price.

All you could want from a 70-200 2.8 - period; Sturdy and strong; Just solid; Price

Focus can zoom in and way out when you are in autofocus; Just boom -out of no where; Compared to the Canon 2.8 equivalent (which I borrowed) It is a slight bit off; You will have to work hard to get sharper images

Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM APO

Pictures are sharp just in the midle at f2.8. (but usable) So. All pictures from http://3foto.ro/sedinta-foto-majorat/ were made at F5.6 with nikon D610 and from http://3foto.ro/sedinta-foto-seniors/ were made at f2.8 to 4.

Good for portraits; Good OS; Good colors

Sharp just in the midle at f2.8

The new Sigma 70-200mm/f2.8 APO DG HSM with optical stabilizer (OS) is an updated version for the popular fast 70-200mm zoom. For the first time from a third-party lens supplier, a 70-200mm, f/2.8 zoom has optical image stabilization.

In terms of overall performance there's no beating the Canon and Nikon 70-200mm lenses. They do the best job of focusing on fast-moving subjects. However, this Sigma isn't too far behind when it comes to tracking movement.

Sigma's New APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM is the second generation of this large aperture telephoto zoom lens now incorporating Sigma's Optical Stablization function, OS, our own anti-shake system which makes viewing a stabilized image in the viewfinder possible for Sony and Pentax users if chosen.

Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM Sports Lens for Canon EF - Brand New review

The Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM Sports lens is bigger and heavier than all of its main rivals, but we can forgive that because of the compelling mix of fantastic sharpness and image quality, great build quality, and outstanding feature set and performance.
