Handling and features This lens is the first of Sigma's new 'Art' line of lenses that promise excellent optical quality and increased creative options thanks to a fast f/1.4 maximum aperture.

This lens is part of Sigma's Art line. A fast 35mm/f1.4 lens is an excellent tool for available-light photography indoors or at night outdoors, especially on the full 35mm-film frame (24×36mm sensor, which Nikon refers to as the FX format).

Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM "A" Lens: A Fast & Sharp "Street" Lens

There's something about a fixed focal length lens that brings the photographer out in me. It forces me to move in and back from compositions without resorting to a zoom. Yes, there are times when a zoom is most appreciated-especially the fast constant aperture zooms now available-but a prime puts me...

The Magical Picture Maker

This lens is just a pleasure to shoot with, and gives your pictures a unique look that just makes you smile. I'm sure you've read a ton of other reviews that talk about its sharpness, and I'm telling you they weren't exaggerating.

Excellent third party lens

I bought this for my canon 6d and I couldn't be more satisfied with the pictures I've been producing with it. This is a great value and I've had a lot of fun shooting with it for the past few weeks.

Fast focusing; Looks great; Sharp; Strong build

Can't think of any

best prime lens ever All my reviews

I always regarded Sigma as being a cheaper third party lens. This lens is quite possibly the best prime lens I own. I have several brand name high end prime lenses that perform well but nowhere near as superb as this.

Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens
