Sigma 18-300mm performs well

Have now used this lens for a week or so. We attend the Arizona Fall Baseball League for both day and night games. The Sigma 18-300mm performs well at both. The photos are clear and sharp at both ends of the spectrum, i.e., at 18mm and 300mm. No complaints.

great lens!

I have only had it for a couple of days now but so far I love it. I have used it at my son's soccer game and just taking random photos here and there to test it. It is heavier than Nikon lenses but I will gladly deal with that instead of switching lenses constantly.

Sigma C 18-300 mm f/3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM

At this point we would like to thank both the Sigma Corporation headquarters and its Polish subsidiary, the Sigma ProCentrum for a speedy delivery of the final specimen of the tested lens.

useful focal range; good image quality in the frame centre; chromatic aberration corrected noticeably better than in the case of direct rivals; proper correction of spherical aberration; distortion correction better than that of the rivals; moderate coma at longer focal lengths; not especially...

weak image quality on the edge of the frame (apart from the 50 mm focal length); noticeable vignetting at both ends of focal range

A very good choice when you need both a wide angle and telephoto lens, but need to travel light.

This is a very good all round lens. If you need to travel light with just one lens, then this lens gives a greater range and flexibility than most other lenses. Performance is very good, but there are a few limitations as you would expect with a zoom lens of this range.

Sigma 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM "C" review by larslentz

This low-cost all-in-one lens is well-made and allows me to get great photos at a wide range of magnifications. While not as sharp as prime lenses, this lens is, in my opinion, acceptably sharp and easily corrected in DxO Optics Pro or similar programs to get great output.

This is a great lens for the money. I bought this as a travel lens for a Canon 7D Mark II and recently took it on a trip to Hawaii. I found I never had to change lenses the entire time. This lens worked great at macro and even better at zoom.

Excellent Lens with a Good Value Bundle

This lens replaced a Sigma 18-250 mm telephoto zoom lens. The new lens is used with a Canon SL1. My first tests with the lens indicated that the image quality is excellent, except at 300 mm, at which image focus is slightly soft.

Lens is robust and solidly built. Will take awhile to get used to the weight. Have not had opportunity to use it in the field yet, but preliminary tests at home yielded excellent results. Reviews were great for a lens of this zoom span; appears to be a ground breaker.
