Sigma 18-125mm f/3.8-5.6 DC OS HSM
Sigma specialises in lenses that have a wide range of focal lengths and despite being a 7x zoom this is actually on the modest side by the manufacturer's standards.
Pros:
- Impressive 7x zoom range
Cons:
- Focussing-ring rotation (AF mode

Worth every penny
Not willing to spend $600 for the Canon 18-200 IS, but distrustful of the Sigma/Tamron 18-200s that have a max aperture of 6.3 at the tele end, I found that what I really wanted was something like the ol' 28-200 I used to carry on my film cameras.

Well worth it.
This was just what I was hoping for. I had read pros and cons from others, but I read a review from a canon user mag that rated it a best buy for mid range zooms. I am very pleased with the performance so far. The motor for the auto focus sometimes is busy, but it is not a deal breaker.

Fantastic Lens
After using the 18-55mm lens that came with my DSLR for nearly a year I get fed up with not being able zoom in to a subject if they were too far away. So I researched for a couple of weeks on which was the best lens to get. It was between this and the Nikon 18-105, so I went for this.

MIND BLOWING LENS................
This 18-125mm multipurpose zoom lens is amazing and the picture quality is great. It works as wide angle lens and a mid range telephoto lens. I have bought this one for my Nikon D5100 and works well. By the way thanks to flipkart for their correct delivery and service is great too...
