Sigma 17-70mm f2.8-4 Lens
I tested the lens taking many pictures with my D7000 and D600. The pictures were not as good as I expected

Nice piece of glass
Fits the bill as the perfect walk around lens for my 77D. Image quality is very good with nice color rendition and weighs half as much as the 24-105 f/4L. If you shoot both full frame and crop sensor I say get this lens for your crop sensor camera and leave your 24-105 f/4L on you full frame camera.

Tried to save some money by buying an after market product. Did not take go pictures when lens was entended out to 70mm. Built cheap. You get what you pay for. Taking back. Going to get the actual Canon lens.

I bought it used at 211 pounds and for that price the lens is superb. The quality of the image is great and focus perfect & fast on my Nikon D7500. Much sharper than my old Nikon 16-85mm lens.

Lens Test: Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC OS Macro HSM AF
An upgrade of Sigma's digital-only macro lens (the 17–70mm f/2.8–4.5), this large-aperture standard zoom ($450, street) adds a tad more speed, another aspheric element (for a total of three), on-board image stabilization, and several ounces more in weight.

Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM test
Daniel Lezano tests and rates the Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8/4 DC Macro OS HSM lens The majority of digital SLRs sold in the UK are supplied in kit form with an 18-55mm zoom, which while representing a good starter lens, isn't the sharpest of optics.

The 17-70mm focal range is also close to what's possible before a swag of optical performance compromises come into play in order to enable a longer zooming ratio. Consequently, the Sigma is a strong performer across its entire focal range with excellent uniformity of sharpness and brightness.
