If you spend a lot of time photographing wildlife, sports, aircraft in flight (or even UFO's) I'm sure you've longed for a lens with extreme telephoto reach. Sigma now offers a tough, quality 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sports lens that can fulfill the wishes of many nature and action shooters.
I Purchased this recently, great service.
The Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary lens offers very similar image quality to the Sports version at a cheaper price, whilst being much lighter and therefore more suitable for hand-holding, although it doens't feature the same level of weather-proofing.
A fine high value zoom lens. Stabilisation was a problem until I used the Sigma dock and put the OS into the Dynamic mode setting - magic, then it's as good as most Canons' IS. I would assess the Sigma 150-600 C OS benefit as 3.5 stops.
Still decently sharp at 600mm (F8-F11) Autofocus works well on 6D Excellently sharp between 150mm to 430mm Really gives the Canon 400mm F5.6 L a run for the money at 400mm
None at price point (A bit soft in the corners at 600mm FF; but hey its as good as the Canon EF 400mm F5.6 L which has no IS and about costs about the same and better the Tamron 150-600mm at 600mm
This one I bought it from snap real after lot of research and comparing prices at various portals I am very satisfied with the product and fast delivery
JUST GOT THE LENS...SET IT UP ON TRI-POD IN STUDIO..TEST SHOTS IN ALL MM RANGE..SHOOTING MANUAL .. NOT RAW FILES, BUT 24.MEG FINE...SO FAR SO GOOD..LENS LOOKS TO BE WELL MADE..FEELS GOOD IN HAND...i find it interesting the spec sheet says DO NOT USE VIB-REDUC IF MOUNTED ON TRI-POD..
Bought lens for canon 70d. The sigma lens was a great addition.
Apart from the somewhat nervous start, when I lost the screw out of the lens hood – which, in hindsight, would benefit from being captive and irremovable – my experience of using Sigma’s latest telephoto zoom in the sort of conditions it was designed for was extremely positive.
I can't begin to brag about enough about this lens. I bought the Canon EF version and use it with the Sigma MC-11 Adapter on my Sony A6300. Great AF and Stability Control performance.
