The Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art lens stole the headlines as the first ultra-wide angle lens for full-frame cameras to break the f/2 barrier. No other ultra-wide angle rectilinear lens is as fast. Fast ultra-wide angle lenses are a rarity and your choices in this category are few.

This lens offers something other super-wides do not - a fast aperture! This separates it from the other super-wide products. It offers minimal vignetting for such a wide and fast lens and minimal coma - great for astronomy. I had no flare issues while imaging throughout the August 2017 eclipse.

This is a great kit combination, mainly because it includes the USB doc, and the cleaning kit. The lens is suberb! I use super wide angle lenses mainly for astrophotography and I was worried about coma which is a serious problem with most lenses.
