Shure SE110 sound-isolating earphones

Shure's new SE110 sound-isolating earphones take the 'entry level' crown from the SE210s and promise to let you 'hear music as it's meant to be heard'. This is a bold statement for a pair of £70 earphones . Can an entry level set of 'phones truly reproduce music the way the artist intended

Overall sound quality; price; supplied carry case; good range of earpiece tips

Lack of definition in the high end; some may be put off by the professional wearing method

Awesome earphones

When I first put them in they sound horrible. Super flat, sounded like I was listening through a tin can. Once I figured out the right head sizes for my ears (ake sure you do this. One ear can be bigger than the other) and got a nice seal going, I got amazing sound.

Very comfortable, great sound quality; Comes with a cool little zipper case for storage and six different sets of heads; The foam ones are awesome; Work like ear plugs; Squish them down then set them in you ears and let them form a nice seal; The rubbers ones are nice, too.

Need to grab some more FLAC rips now because 320kbs and V0s don't sound good enough on these and my 595s; Don't really care for how they make the cables these days; Like a foot long from the ear buds to the plug, but then you use a five foot extension; Not a big deal, just don't care for it

Shure SE110

The cable is too heavy, the foam earcups hard to replace and the sound lacked sparkle

Well priced; Effective sound isolation; Decent clarity and definition

Sound lacks excitement; Cable needs some weight trimmed; Need extension cable in most settings
