Sennheiser HD 800 review
I think its features get you right in the rut. It is truly for the one who has a refined taste and understands the language of sound. What I like most about it is its fine materials, high fidelity sound, special transducer and the natural soundscape that it creates.
Pros:
- This one's a hard nut to crack
- Simply brilliant stuff
- Offers a very clear sound
- Never had a better pair of over the ear headphones to work around with
Cons:
- A little too big for those with a small frame
- The price gives you a big blow and the sound makes up for it
- But again, very expensive

Perfect Combo
Do not look at this if your wanting big base sound. this kind of gear is for people that want audio on how it was mixed. It will not wow you like from a concert hall that is shaking the floor. you will hear stuff in music you never could possibly hear from a ipod and headset.
Pros:
- Audio in this is amazing
- Very flat and music sounds like it was intended
- Both pieces of equipment looks awesome in my office

- None so far

The HD800 is a very special headphone and with the right amp and cabling sounds nothing short of amazing.

incredible headphones
I wish everyone could enjoy listening to music using these headphones. They are unbelievable! I highly recommend them!!!

TRS TRS or Tip, Ring, Sleeve connectors are cylindrically shaped three contact connectors and were first used in telephone switchboards before becoming a standard for professional and home audio headphone ports.

Best Headphones I've Ever Owned!
Previously not a big fan of using headphones, but my home situation demands that I use my speakers less. Did a lot of shopping around, auditioned a the best of the best phones "in person", selected the HD800's about a year ago and am glad I did!
Pros:
- Awesome Detail
- Great Sound
- Good Bass
- Comfortable

I love Sennheiser but...
I've always admired the Sennheiser brand products for their well-made construction and sound qualities. These headphones are no exception to the rule. The sound is amazing! I own a set of HD650s and HDR220s; the HD800s blow them out of the water. So what's the problem you ask.

Don't put them on if you can't afford them...
I use these cans with the Chord Hugo portable DAC/amplifier. My music is on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8" and I use the music player app "USB Audio Player Pro" which is available online.

Sennheiser HD800 headphone
So I am a musician with a good ear for detail in music. I wanted a pair of reference headphones that was as neutral as possible. I tested grado's (excellent driver but nowhere near as comfy as the HD800), the HD800S (too boomy in the lows for my ears), the AKG812 pro's (almost as good as the HD800's...
