Sennheiser HD-650 headset

T he HD 650 from Sennheiser is a class apart when it comes to looks as well as performance. It's not everyday that you see a pair of headphone so delicately wrapped with foam in a big silver box.
Pros:
  • - Comfortable
  • - Excellent sound
Cons:
  • - none

Your music will thank you later

The Sennheiser HD 650 are by far one of the better headphones that Sennheiser has come out with over the last 5 years. They are also more expensive, but worth every penny. These headphones are Hi-Fi quality and very well built.

Wireless will be better

I was looking for a noise canceling headphone, however, it didn't work at all. But the price is the best I have ever see for hd650.

Awesome pair of headphones

I had the HD 555's previously and I wanted an upgrade. Had been very happy with Sennheiser so I decided to stick with them. These were a very noticeable upgrade of my previous set and they were totally worth it.

Best audiophile headphones

I have owned a pair of Sennheiser HD650 headphones for almost a year, and the sound they produce is quite simply divine. I have been producing, recording, editing and listening to music for many years and the HD650 headphones represent what I would consider to be the best in headphone audio quality.

I was like a lot of audiophiles starting out. I had a below $100 pair of headphones and thought it couldn't get much better than that. I looked at headphones like the HD650 and thought their pricetag, which is a hefty sum to most, couldn't be justified.
Pros:
  • High-quality warm sound signature
  • Good imaging
  • Comfortable
  • Replaceable parts
Cons:
  • Not the best build
  • Clamp is too tight at first
  • Not for trebleheads or bassheads

"HD650 - Excellent but not suitable for normal people"

These headphones are probably not for you! They will produce excellent quality sound (one of the very best headphones at any price) but they really need a proper headphone amp and an excellent source to make the most of their potential and most people have never heard of a headphone amp and use mp3s...
Pros:
  • Lets you hear your music at it's best
Cons:
  • Just be sure your music's best is good enough! Really NEEDS a headphone amp
