Love the slim design & size

The price & quality of the product are great. I am still on the fence with the USB connector. The connecting end to unit is completely different from all my other tech stuff. This means I cannot interchage with my already over abundance of USB power cords.
Pros:
  • Attractive Design
  • Compact
  • Easy To Set Up
  • Easy to use
  • High Capacity
  • Portable
  • Quiet
Cons:
  • Ac Power Connector
  • Usb Connector

Handy portable external hard drive

I store pictures on two external hard drives, both right out of the camera, as well as those I edit. I set up a catalogue system within the portable Seagates and when saving, locate the correct heading to file them under. I've used Seagages in the past and have had no problems with them.
Pros:
  • Compact
  • Easy To Set Up
  • Easy to use
  • Easy To Use Very Portabl
  • Portable
Cons:
  • The Chord Connection

Keeps Windows 8 from booting

got this drive to use as a backup on a Windows 8 computer. The drive works fine, but the computer will not boot with the drive connected. Had to boot, then connect the drive. Probably needs disk drive or another program.

Best Hdd Company

This Seagate Expansion 500GB USB 3.0 Portable External Hard Drive was my first external hard disk drive and I have been using it for almost a year. The product is sturdy and its compact design makes it very easily portable. The transfer speed is great and it is compatible with my Windows 7 laptop.

Good Drive decent price

Took this HDD out of it's case and am currently using it in a PS3 because it uses 2.5's. Working great, and convenient upgrade when using DL'd games that rely on lots of storage. Put the stock 250gb 2.5 drive from the PS3 into the case and am using that as a portable usb3.0 storage solution.
Pros:
  • decent price on sale - comes with external capabilities/case - easy to remove from casing to use as an internal 2.5 HDD - can be removed from casing without destroying the case so it can be used with a different 2.5 - fairly compact - case is fairly durable
Cons:
  • - It's a seagate so ongoing reliability is questionable.....backup often if using for important files

Thick And Heavy External Hard Disk...

This external hard disk from Seagate, is truly amazing with such a huge magnificent memory space / storage of 1 tetra bytes of data (which is equal to 1000 Gb). This was my first external hard disk, it is quite big and very heavy comparing with the latest external drives.

Seagate Expansion Portable Drive (2TB)

The new Seagate Expansion is a fast and affordable drive that will comfortably fit into your purse or pocket. At just $90 (£61 and AU$118, converted) for the top capacity 2TB drive, it's an easy recommendation for anyone who needs extra storage to carry on the go.
Pros:
  • The Seagate Expansion Portable Drive quickly copies files and offers a ton of storage for the money
  • It's also compact enough to fit in your pocket and its no frills approach makes it easy to use with both computers and game consoles
Cons:
  • There is no backup software included and it's lacking any security features
  • It carries a short warranty of just a year
