Really nice portable notebook drive. I love the finish on the case. A little worried that the adapter connection to the hard drive might get loose over time, but other then that it is an awesome product. If i have the chance, i'll probably purchase another in the future.

Almost too easy to use?
Just got this recently and have backed up my laptop a couple of times. Seems almost too easy and too fast... not sure if I've done it properly but it says that everything was backed up! Would highly recommend it!

Easy to use
The instructions for setting up the Seagate were hard to follow. However, the tech at the 800 number quickly, efficiently, professionally walked me through the process in a matter of minutes.

Seagate portable HDD
Its a cracker, about an 1/8 the size of my older portable HDD's, easy set up but my word it backs your files up into a virtual secret place in its memory so its not easy to find where its stored your files.

Back Up Your Computer - And Your Facebook Photos, While You're at It
A hard drive is a hard drive is a hard drive. Unless you're a deep study, the differences between competing portable storage drives seem minute, and few things influence purchasing decisions more than capacity and price.
Pros:
- Software makes it very easy to back up photos from Facebook and Flickr (Seagate says more services are on the way) with just a few clicks
- Drive's modular connector lets you swap interface types
- Build is light, but case is solid enough to be tossed into a backpack
- Price is right.
Cons:
- Disparity in software features between Mac and Windows
- Only a $20 difference between 500GB and 1TB, so there's no reason to buy the lower-capacity drives

Needs better software...
Bad storage system. Saves only select few files overall and when another backup comes in, it saves only new or changed files which it stores in a whole other file!
Pros:
- Nice sleek case
- very good eye candy for any tech guy
Cons:
- Doesn't backup the entire system
- It failed to backup my "My Documents" folder, losing me years of data

It works
Great style and quiet. It was hard to set up because the directions for a Mac user were poor. I had some problems figuring out what to do. The product is geared for PC's, but works with Mac's. However, not all the features are functional for a Mac user.
