seagate is the worse company
i have never had a hard time replacing any drive under 3 years old. seagate just set me straight that there are horrible warranty service and they're one good example.
Pros:
- nothing
- just an average drive
Cons:
- died in 1 year
- called their customer service
- they said they don't cover the drive in drive
- seriously it's YOUR product that crapped out my data
- and now you don't even replace the defective product

Really disappointing
The hard disk worked nice for some time, but after some months of usage, unexpectedly it was only working in some USB 3.0 devices. I tried it in different laptops (with USB 3.0 connections), different PCs or Macs.

Does what its supposed to
Bought this as extra storage for my sons Xbox. So easy to set up and works perfectly.

Happy with this product
Happy to have this. It's easy to set up. Requires external power. Long USB 3.0 cable included. It does what it says it does. I use it for video storage and multiple computer hard drive mirrors. I liked the Nero backup software at first, but could never get the cloud storage to work.

- Needs better software
- No Windows 7 Backup
- Runs hot

a very easy way to increase storage need. Just plug in a USB 3.0 port and everything is automatic configure. Drive show up instantly. speed is quite good for an external drive.

This backup drive is an excellent deal--the best price I have seen. The transformer that plugs into the outlet is making a buzzing noise...otherwise I would give an even higher rating. However, still too early to know how a b/u drive will perform in the first week.

When my package arrived it was perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed it
When my package arrived it was perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Seagate setup was easy to follow and had no problems since. Had it for 5 years.

Let down
I have had 3 of these drives and returned two of them. The detachable power supply appears to be the problem not the hard drive itself. Also, at times simply touching the drive or usb cable will turn it off. They are worse on a Mac IE: drive spins down whilst copying and hangs the process.

Product as advertised and delivered without incident
The whole process was to the point and quick. No delays, and no distractions to other not interested in options and/or products. Thank you for having items available which are able to suit my needs. Keep up the good work.
