When my package arrived it was perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Seagate setup was easy to follow and had no problems since. Had it for 5 years.

Product as advertised and delivered without incident
The whole process was to the point and quick. No delays, and no distractions to other not interested in options and/or products. Thank you for having items available which are able to suit my needs. Keep up the good work.

Does what its supposed to
Bought this as extra storage for my sons Xbox. So easy to set up and works perfectly.

Really disappointing
The hard disk worked nice for some time, but after some months of usage, unexpectedly it was only working in some USB 3.0 devices. I tried it in different laptops (with USB 3.0 connections), different PCs or Macs.

seagate is the worse company
i have never had a hard time replacing any drive under 3 years old. seagate just set me straight that there are horrible warranty service and they're one good example.
Pros:
- nothing
- just an average drive
Cons:
- died in 1 year
- called their customer service
- they said they don't cover the drive in drive
- seriously it's YOUR product that crapped out my data
- and now you don't even replace the defective product

Seagate Backup Plus Desktop 3TB - External 3.5 Inch Drive - Black
This unit is the "Back Up Plus" which is much better than the cheaper "Expansion" drive at a better price. Very happy with the unit very easy plug and play. Chuffed with the price, absolute bargain.

Great back-up control
The Dashboard control panel is very easy to use and allows either continuous or periodic back up. Just started using and looks really nice. If performance crashes I'll give a follow up review.

a great drive at a good price
I am a big fan of the seagate drives, the ones where the base connects into the drive- as you can remove the hard drive part and add what ever drive you want, so for example a friend comes over with a broken laptop, you can pull out the drive and stick it on the seagate dock and immediately access...

This backup drive is an excellent deal--the best price I have seen. The transformer that plugs into the outlet is making a buzzing noise...otherwise I would give an even higher rating. However, still too early to know how a b/u drive will perform in the first week.
