Why would you need a compact flash card? Most devices as far as I am aware tend to use SD cards are micro SD cards for their memory needs, and the Compact Flash Card may seem slightly large and cumbersome in comparison making you wonder why on earth would you use that?

Reliability

This card takes about 4000 pictures. So I don't have to keep changing memory cards! I would definitely buy it again.

Have to upgrade some 4 GB old compact flash digital controllers backup modules and this was the best available solution.

Because I've had memory card failures in the past with other brands, I now always choose Sandisk. I've never had any issues at all with their products and if there were any, they offer a limited lifetime guarantee.

Our application doesn't utilize the maximum data transfer rate of these cards so the next point doesn't really impact us; The previous 4GB SanDisc model has a 30MBp/s while this one is down to 25MBp/s
