The SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive is a fast, handy way to increase storage on your iPhone or iPad, but we encountered some reliability issues in testing.
Fast read speeds; Built-in file manager; Integrated media playback and auto-backup
Flimsy connector cable; App crashed repeatedly when transferring large files in testing
This is a fantastic little gem! I bought this for myself to have a small, convenient backup for my phone's photos and videos and I'm very happy with it. In fact, I'm so happy with it I've ordered my husband one for his phone as well! You just plug it in to your phone and away you go.
SanDisk's iXpand Flash drive delivers what it promises to. Priced close to Rs.3990 for a 16GB variant, you will definitely find cheaper options available in the market if you can compromise on the looks and the multi-feature application.
Slim and pocketable design; Directly record and play content from the drive; Easy transfer with automatic backup
Large files cannot be transfered due to file format restriction
Apple 's iPhone users have traditionally struggled with the storage space they get in their devices. There are two reasons for this: one, extra storage on a iOS device comes at a premium; two, iOS does not offer options like expandable storage, which is popular in Android devices.
I usually write Positive reviews but with this product being so poorly manufactured, I have to write a review. The USB connection is too tight, too small to fit most USB ports. It is a well-documented problem with ScanDisk, a well hidden problem with ScanDisk.
This device is a pain in the neck. Backing up photos off the iPhone was much slower and more troublesome than it had any right to be. Wish I had had a lot more documentation going in. This is basically a bent flash drive with an iPhone connector at one end.
The only files you can copy to this device are your photos, videos, and contacts. You cannot copy ANYTHING ELSE, not even your "notes" files; Apple believes they are NOT YOUR FILES, even though YOU created them, and they do not allow it.
Bought this to free up space on my iPad my iPhone and it has done just that I have saved all of my photos and videos onto this item whilst saving space on my phone which is important. And it was a bargain from John Lewis as other retailers were wanting over £120.
Picked up a 16GB iPhone or iPad and realised you can't store much on it? Time to pick up one of the best after-market storage gadgets we've seen in recent memory: the Sandisk iXpand Drive for iPhone and iPad.
