The Samsung NX1000 has speed, but it falls short of the competition in certain places.
The Samsung NX1000 is an entry-level mirrorless camera that combines a 20.3-megapixel APS-C CMOS image sensor, a 3-inch high-resolution LCD, 8 frames per second shooting, and a slew of high-end features into a compact, moderately priced body.

The NX1000 is an entry-level camera for the budding pro, with the same if not more specs and goodies offered by larger more expensive pro cameras.
Pros:
- Good design
- features
- eases of use and the picture quality
Cons:
- Image stabilisation is available in more expensive lenses
- Poor battery life.

Wireless connectivity furthers the impression that it is in part targeted at slaves to social media. But the exterior belies a serious interior, incorporating an APS-C format image sensor, as found in physically larger digital SLRs . Take a look at the Nikon AW100 review too.

Samsung NX1000 review
The NX1000 might not be much more than £500, but it sure doesn't scrimp on the features front. The inclusion of the decent 20.3-megapixel sensor - the very same as found in the NX20 - is the star of the show, so if image quality is your main concern then the Samsung might have already caught your...
Pros:
- Great image quality for such high resolution
- enough lenses to compete against the competition
- good value without scrimping on the features
Cons:
- No viewfinder possible
- inconsistent white balance
- colours can lack punch
- burst mode processing "lock out"
- poor battery life

Samsung NX1000 review
When it comes to stuffing products full of features, you can always rely on Samsung. And the Korean firm has done it again with its latest NX system interchangeable lens camera, cramming Wi-Fi into its metallic guts.

Samsung NX1000 review
Back in June I reviewed the Samsung NX200 , a second-generation example of the company's impressive APS-C mirrorless NX system. At the time of the review the NX200 had already been on sale for eight months, which in the fast-moving world of the compact system camera market is an eternity.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Fast performance
- Good image quality
Cons:
- Dodgy phone apps
- Plastic body
- Low-light focusing
