Our devices are getting smarter, and can most times do more than just their primary role. Yes, even beyond our smartphones and tablets (and PC's of course) – almost every gadget is a multi-tasker, it would seem.

Samsung NX1000 review by joe88

very sharp camera with 20 MP without viewfinder, but not so extremely sharp as nx 2000 good color rendition, high contrast, low noise until 3200 iso. if you'll use adapter, there is a switch for big external viewfinder viewing (strange brand), so that you'll preceive finest details.
Pros:
  • adapter for many strange lenses available
  • with extern viewfinder like a DSLR
Cons:
  • not so extremely sharp as nx 2000
  • but very sharp
  • nevertheless

Broken Camera

The camera is broken and damaged. The LCD screen is broken and have to be replaced. The customer service is bad and the camera sent to me was intentionally shipped because they know I am just using a PO Box. Be careful in buying from this store. Was this review helpful? |

If you want the skills and settings of a DSLR, the same sized sensor but none of the excess baggage, look no further than the Samsung NX1000, the South Korean gadget giant's latest mirrorless camera system with lenses you can switch out as you please - oh, and a whopping 20 megapixel sensor to boot.

In short, NX1000 isn't the cheapest entry-level compact system camera available for purchase in the market, but still it is worth spending the money on. Similar to other NX models, the camera promises to deliver excellent output with quality.
Pros:
  • Compact size
  • Wi-Fi included
  • Crisp images
  • Impressive high ISO performance
Cons:
  • No built-in flash
  • Lacks EVF

Ok

Switching to MF or AF is too much work there should be a dedicated switch. Wifi control of the camera is a joke. Can only take photo and no video control over wifi. Can only turn off or have flash to auto in Wifi. Zero option for wifi mode. Auto focus on the camera in video mode is super slow.

Amazingly ordinary

The functions are great however to major cons 1) you need to be connected to a wifi network to use the wifi function, way it is advertised doesn't really explain this. I was hoping that you could get away with no memory card and just automatically backup your pictures, but this is not how the...
Pros:
  • Good Battery Life
  • Good Sized Screen
  • Nice Features and Settings
Cons:
  • Really Needs To Telelense

Samsung NX1000 DSLR

Not surprisingly, manufacturers often pare down the body and feature set on entry-level cameras. But while Samsung has streamlined some aspects and features of the NX1000, the least expensive of its NX line of mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras, it hasn't scrimped on the sensor size or...
Pros:
  • Good image quality
  • broad feature set
  • Wi-Fi
  • on-board help
Cons:
  • Mediocre performance
  • only fair video quality
  • no viewfinder option
