Proud Possession
Just received this camera and still exploring its many capabilities. It has a great look. Performance was found excellent in whatever little shooting I did. I am satisfied with my Samsung NX1000.
Pros:
- Easy to Use
- Great Resolution
- Small / Compact
Cons:
- No Viewfinder

Amazingly ordinary
The functions are great however to major cons 1) you need to be connected to a wifi network to use the wifi function, way it is advertised doesn't really explain this. I was hoping that you could get away with no memory card and just automatically backup your pictures, but this is not how the...

Broken Camera
The camera is broken and damaged. The LCD screen is broken and have to be replaced. The customer service is bad and the camera sent to me was intentionally shipped because they know I am just using a PO Box. Be careful in buying from this store. Was this review helpful? |

I've been looking for something between my Nikon SLR's and my iPhone for something worth carrying. m4/3, Canon G1X, Canon EOS-M, Sony Nex, Nikon Coolpix A. I wanted something pocketable, flash shoe, inexpensive. This is it. Sensor is great. Lenses are great.

Samsung NX 1000 digital compact system camera
Look around for a all singing all dancing easy to use camera that takes great pics and is high in pixels. Used this on holiday pictures great. I like the ability to zoom in on the taken photo which enlarges like a long range zoom lens, using the Fn button saves the picture like I used a zoom.

APS-C sensor, Wifi features, good image quality, good value
Samsung NX1000 Review (From my review of the White model which is identical except for color): The main things that drew my interest with this camera were the Wifi features (I have a Samsung WB150F and the Wifi features have worked well.

Ok
Switching to MF or AF is too much work there should be a dedicated switch. Wifi control of the camera is a joke. Can only take photo and no video control over wifi. Can only turn off or have flash to auto in Wifi. Zero option for wifi mode. Auto focus on the camera in video mode is super slow.

If you are an amature photographer like myself this is a great learning tool. Pictures turn out with beautiful images and lots of colour. The menu is easy to use and I love the wheel for viewing pictures quickly.

Some very good features
I've owned the NX20 for a while and needed a back-up camera so I though the nx1000 would make an ideal choice. All nx series lenses are good for both cameras. Very impressed with the image quality, range of image options, overall build and wifi features.
