There were only the barest of instructions included with the camera. To learn how to operate it, you must download an 85 page instruction book. I find that very inconvenient.

You must purchase the camera BEFORE finding this flaw unless you find an honest salesperson--in my opinion this "camcorder" fails the description especially for lectures, sermons, etc.

takes nice stills and video ONLY UP TO 21 MINUTES

this camera WILL NOT record continious video more than approx 20 minutes! You will not know this until after your purchase; so if you need it for continious recording; save your money and TRY to find one that will or find a mini-DV camcorder

Samsung HMX-F80BP

Samsung has mostly thrown off the image it had a few years ago of producing cheap but generally feature-reduced camcorders compared to major brand competitors. Fortunately, in this process of improvement, the company hasn't thrown the baby out with the bathwater – that is, the low price.
