The Galaxy XCover Pro is a rugged mid-range smartphone from Samsung Mobile . It comes with IP68 dust and water resistance as well as MIL-STD-810 certification. It has a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution, and a punch-hole notch kept to the right hand side of the phone.

Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro Smartphone Review – Outdoor phone with user-replaceable battery

Replaceable battery for professionals. The Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro is a robust phone built for tough environments. Apart from the robust case design, it mainly tries to win over prospective customers with its camera. In our review, we take a closer look at the outdoor smartphone.

Didn't think they made them like this anymore.

Ticks the four boxes I need. 1. Bootloader is unlockable. 2. Has a user swappable battery. 3. 3.5mm audio jack. 4. Expandable storage. Battery is a good size and lasts days between charges, this is also in part due to good efficiency from the SoC. This phone would seem to be designed with worksites and other commercial applications in mind. So it has features like a touch screen that can operate even when wearing gloves. I may not use all the features aimed at that market, but I'll enjoy the 2 year warranty and the better build quality. The USB-C port is only operating at USB 2.0 speed, which is a little disappointing, but not a huge...view more

Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro PH-SAM-XCOVERPRO review

In a time when smartphones can be complex, extravagant, and expensive, the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro is a simple, rugged smartphone — and that’s not a bad thing. I’ve long lamented that flagship smartphones, while nice, are overkill for what the majority of people use a smartphone for.

Slim, yet rugged design, Decent performance, Great battery life, Removable battery, Extra programmable buttons, IP68-rated, Fingerprint and facial recognition login, No need for an external cover, Affordably priced

Sound isn't the greatest, Camera is decent but not up to par with other Samsung devices, No included screen protector given it's a rugged phone

Robust + A user swappable battery? In 2020!

Very solid, waterproof, Two-sim, VoLTE-enabled for Vodafone NZ... Launches with Android 10, so (fingers crossed) should be good for Android 11 & 12, and three years of security updates. Not a speed demon for gamers, but easily fast enough for business, email, messaging, and social apps. And... wow! A user swappable battery?! Makes this a slam dunk. Sick and tired of sealed batteries which start dying after a year, then yet another phone into landfill. Time for a phone which lasts for at least four to five years, and which will last all day even then.

The XCover Pro packs an attractive design with a great screen, but the poor processor and cameras hold back the device. ...
