Android 2.2 tablet – Samsung Galaxy Tab
Apple iPad came out in April 2010 and such has been the success that everyone is scrambling to make their own tablets. Most of them have given inexpensive tablets in different sizes and shapes but none of them have been able to challenge the prowess of the iPad.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Review: Android 3.1 Tablet
The tablet race continues to heat up. The iPad set the stage for this generation's tablet race, and although things have definitely tightened up, Apple's wunderkind, like it or not, remains the industry standard by which all others are judged.
Pros:
- Slimmer than the iPad 2
- Great battery life
- Good graphics performance
- Android 3.1
- Reasonably priced
Cons:
- No microSD card slot
- Glossy display is really glossy
- Wonky connection issues with Windows 7 and OS X
- Not enough tablet apps in Android Market

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Review
As of time of this writing, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 launches in two days nationwide, starting at $499 for a 16GB model and $499 for a 32GB model, which is the exact same pricing scheme as the iPad 2.
Pros:
- Amazing looks
- Very fast and clean Android 3.1 build
- Decent camera quality
- Thin and light
- Pricing scheme makes sense

- Poor app selection

Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1 Review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, in its current form, was born out of a response to Apple's sleek and thin iPad 2 tablet. The original Galaxy Tab 10.1, which hadn't reached market yet, just couldn't compete, so Samsung went back the drawing board and turned out this beauty of a tablet in record time.
Pros:
- Solid hardware build
- Thin wide-screen form factor
- Good quality cameras and HD video recording
- Light weight

- Few tablet apps
- Some user interface quirks
- No USB mass storage support

10.1? The impression I get with the naming of this much-anticipated grown-up version of last year's Galaxy Tab is that it has psychological hangups about (ahem) ‘size'. I imagine it loitering down the pub, boasting of its prowess: "It's not just TEN inches, Al, it's TEN-point-ONE!

When I brought my 7" Samsung Galaxy Tab into work, my boss became obsessed with it.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Cheetah-quick
- Beautiful screen resolution
Cons:
- No SD slot
- Comes with many fewer apps than previous Galaxy Tab
- No text messaging

Despite that, however, we love the Galaxy Tab 10.1. It's a genuine rival for the Apple iPad 2, proving thinner, lighter and with a screen that's even better. There's still a more impressive choice of applications available for the iPad 2, and devices like the Eee Pad Transformer are more capable...
Pros:
- Out of all the Android tablets we've seen, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 gets the closest to matching the design of the iPad 2
- Although it's not original, it's no bad thing, as the iPad still has its rivals licked when it comes to quality and design.
Cons:
- The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 may look better than most other tablets, but it comes at a price
