Review: Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G (TELUS)
The much awaited Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, which is expected to sell in Canada in both WiFi only and WiFi + 4G models in a few weeks, represents Samsung's very serious attempt to dominate the Android tablet space and even challenge the current tablet leader,
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 review
We had high hopes for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and if you need a tablet with a more flexible operating system than iOS then its slender, lightweight design makes it an attractive choice. You do have to sacrifice ports and battery life in the process though so it's not an ideal choice for everyone.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Android 3 tablet computer
Samsung's original tablet computer, the Galaxy Tab , was one of the first serious contenders to line up against the Apple iPad , but we were unimpressed. It was too expensive, with a small screen and not much software available.
First look: Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v
Tipped to be the iPad's first credible rival, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v is a feature-packed tablet device that runs on Google's latest Android operating system; 3.0 Honeycomb . Its main advantages over the Apple iPad (and indeed, the Apple iPad 2 ) are an 8-megapixel AF camera with inbuilt flash,...
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 P7500
Tweet Tablet manufacturers in today's fiercely competitive environment do not have it easy, least of all those releasing Android based devices. With the ubiquitous popularity of the iPad 2 , and amid rumours of a soon to be released iPad 3, it seems as though every computer manufacturer is rolling...- Beautiful screen
- Thin and relatively light
- Screen is prone to fingerprints
- low on extra ports
Despite that, however, we love the Galaxy Tab 10.1. It's a genuine rival for the Apple iPad 2, proving thinner, lighter and with a screen that's even better. There's still a more impressive choice of applications available for the iPad 2, and devices like the Eee Pad Transformer are more capable...
- Out of all the Android tablets we've seen, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 gets the closest to matching the design of the iPad 2
- Although it's not original, it's no bad thing, as the iPad still has its rivals licked when it comes to quality and design.
- The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 may look better than most other tablets, but it comes at a price
- Samsung hasn't found the space to add many ports – there's no expandable memory, for instance, and you'll have to make do with the 16GB of integrated storage, The Tab 10.1 also suffers from the same...
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 inch on Verizon 4G: Faster, Sleeker...and a little bare
When I brought my 7" Samsung Galaxy Tab into work, my boss became obsessed with it.- Lightweight
- Cheetah-quick
- Beautiful screen resolution
- No SD slot
- Comes with many fewer apps than previous Galaxy Tab
- No text messaging
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
10.1? The impression I get with the naming of this much-anticipated grown-up version of last year's Galaxy Tab is that it has psychological hangups about (ahem) ‘size'. I imagine it loitering down the pub, boasting of its prowess: "It's not just TEN inches, Al, it's TEN-point-ONE!
Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1 Review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, in its current form, was born out of a response to Apple's sleek and thin iPad 2 tablet. The original Galaxy Tab 10.1, which hadn't reached market yet, just couldn't compete, so Samsung went back the drawing board and turned out this beauty of a tablet in record time.- Solid hardware build
- Thin wide-screen form factor
- Good quality cameras and HD video recording
- Light weight
- Few tablet apps
- Some user interface quirks
- No USB mass storage support
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Review
As of time of this writing, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 launches in two days nationwide, starting at $499 for a 16GB model and $499 for a 32GB model, which is the exact same pricing scheme as the iPad 2.- Amazing looks
- Very fast and clean Android 3.1 build
- Decent camera quality
- Thin and light
- Pricing scheme makes sense
- Poor app selection
