Samsung Galaxy S III review

How do you review a phone like the Galaxy S III ? It's already been subject to so much speculation, exposure, and early judgment - some of it coming from myself , admittedly - that it feels overwhelming to try and condense what it means to everyone into a single treatise.
Pros:
  • Stellar performance
  • even without an Exynos SoC
  • Excellent camera
  • Functionally sound design
  • Android tweaks have mostly been for the better
Cons:
  • Aesthetically challenged
  • TouchWiz takes getting used to
  • S Voice is no less of a gimmick than Siri
  • Samsung has a history of failing to update phones on time

Samsung Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 4S

It's fair to say that for all Google's Android hoopla and Microsoft's Windows Phone drum-beating, there really hasn't been much competition in the smartphone market since Apple first launched the first-generation iPhone.
Pros:
  • Nice piece of hardware
  • extremely light
  • super large screen
  • some interesting interface ideas
Cons:
  • Android isn't as good as iOS
  • Google's Play store isn't as good as the App Store
  • some interface ideas are a bit strange

  • Uncomfortable for one-handed use
  • All-plastic body

Samsung Galaxy S III Review (AT&T)

by Adam Z. Lein That's right, it's another review of the Samsung Galaxy S III.  This time we've got the AT&T version. It's very similar to the Sprint version and shares many software features with the international version , so instead of reiterating everything from those reviews, we're going to...
Pros:
  • + Gorgeous hardware design
  • + Thin and light
  • + Large 4.8″ HD Super AMOLED screen
  • + Fantastic call quality
  • + High speed LTE network support
  • + Great battery life
  • + Fast camera shutter responsiveness
Cons:
  • - Poor on-screen keyboard
  • - Superfluous bundled software
  • - The back can get very warm
  • - Very slippery and sometimes difficult to hold
  • - Camera doesn't always focus correctly when taking a picture
