Samsung Galaxy S III review

The GS III is an all-rounder of a superphone, but strong competition on the Android scene will stop it reaching the heights of its predecessor.
Pros:
  • Big and beautiful AMOLED display
  • Powerful
  • future-ready processor
  • MicroSD slot and long-lasting battery
  • Class-leading camera
Cons:
  • TouchWiz interface feels tired
  • Design is perhaps too safe

Vodafone: Samsung Galaxy S III (4.1) Review

We have already reviewed the Samsung Galaxy S III in the past, but when we had the opportunity to get the device in again - in order to test the cases we are giving away in a competition - we thought it would be great to re-review the handset now that Jelly Bean (4.1.1) had been loaded and also if

Not that great

I went from my iPhone 4 and thought I'd try out the s3. If you like the sorta of open source tech stuff then you will enjoy this phone. However the build quality isn't there yet. It's all plastic and feels cheap for the price.

Samsung Galaxy S III LTE (GT-I9305) review

The regular Samsung Galaxy S III got 4.5 stars, and there's nothing inherently worse about this phone. But with the additional features being modest and the price higher it doesn't feel like the best way to spend your money.
Pros:
  • Same great formula from the original
  • fast mobile data
  • slightly improved hardware
Cons:
  • Incredibly expensive
  • no extra internal storage options
  • battery sub-par for 4G

You may have watched the launch of the Galaxy S III live from London , almost six weeks ago. At some point you may have been horrified with the nature theme (pebbles, water, etc) and the "made for humans" catch cry. Honestly, I still cringe a bit when I see a commercial with those words in it.
Pros:
  • Smooth navigation throughout the OS
  • Efficient use of power
  • Excellent camera (for a phone
  • Ergonomic design
  • Huge
  • bright
  • clear display
Cons:
  • Home button is awkward to press
  • TouchWiz deviates too far from ICS "Holo Theme
  • No 4G or DC-HSPA
  • Bland design
  • Auto-brightness is too jumpy
  • and low
